Rare, Tan Colored, Mostly Feed Sack Prints, Hand Stitched, Patchwork Quilt from the PNW
You can just feel the love from this quilt!! It was rescued from the Perkins Homestead in the PNW. It's been well taken care of, but is worn around the edges from use. Some of the printed fabrics are showing wear as well. Here and there you will see a piece of natural cotton peeking its way through. This is a heavy quilt for its size. It had a hole in it when I purchased it that had been patched with a piece of denim. I covered the denim with a vintage crocheted doily to soften the look. It's made of a true tan fabric (which is a rarity for that era) and has a plaid flannel back that looks as though it may have been replaced. Truly a lovely for display, use, or, of course, all seasons of photography!
Measures approximately 70" X 72"
Please keep in mind that, to my knowledge, all the quilts are either hand or home made...Some are old, a few are new, some are vintage, some are antique, some have been camped with, snuggled with and others have been used for warmth or decor. Each has a story to tell of it's own! Some quilts I have mended, others I have left the wearing and tattering to keep the character in tact. Some have blemishes or small stains. *All quilts have been laundered unless specifically stated! **If you are a collector, please contact me prior to purchase. The majority of my quilts are sold to photographers. I am not a collector. I'm learning a lot about quilts and love the vintage character, but have little knowledge beyond what is passed on to me. I would always be happy to answer questions and provide detailed photos. Please note due to monitor/phone settings, the color may appear slightly different in person. Thank you! **
