Home Made, Vintage, Scrappy, Patchwork Summer Quilt with Awesome Stitching
Oh what a charmer! This character filled lovely is made from lots of scraps. It appears that most fabrics are from the 1940's and 1950's. The edges of the quilt has been hand stitched with intricate stitching in all different pastel colors. There's no batting, and the back appears to bed re-purposed, soft white muslin. This is a great quilt for international shipping because it's large, but doesn't weigh alot so shipping would be less than your standard quilt. The seamstress of this quilt looks as though she used the scraps of fabrics that she had on hand. There's different colors, textures and prints. There's gentle wear and some mended seams. This is a great one for photography or home use! Truly, a lovely keepsake!
Measures approximately 68" x 104"
Please keep in mind that, to my knowledge, all the quilts are either hand or home made...Some are old, a few are new, some are vintage, some are antique, some have been camped with, snuggled with and others have been used for warmth or decor. Each has a story to tell of it's own! Some quilts I have mended, others I have left the wearing and tattering to keep the character in tact. Some have blemishes or small stains. *All quilts have been laundered unless specifically stated! **If you are a collector, please contact me prior to purchase. The majority of my quilts are sold to photographers. I am not a collector. I'm learning a lot about quilts and love the vintage character, but have little knowledge beyond what is passed on to me. I would always be happy to answer questions and provide detailed photos. Please note due to monitor/phone settings, the color may appear slightly different in person. Thank you! **
